Rachel Phillips-Buck is the co-founder of PathLIGHT, a program developed out of her experience working with students who were struggling to choose, confirm or target their major and career goals. She is passionate about helping people find their place in the world of work, and believes that exploring issues about one’s career is a deeply spiritual endeavor. In addition to the PathLIGHT program, Rachel’s work at Pharos Resources is focused on improving student success. Prior to her work with Pharos Resources, she was a career and academic counselor at Abilene Christian University and worked with hundreds of students every semester. Rachel also taught ACU’s Career and Life Planning Class, and created and delivered the “D!scovery for Deciding” program.

Rachel received a BS in Psychology (2000) and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy (2004) from ACU.

Matt Boisvert is a co-founder of PathLIGHT. Prior to launching PathLIGHT, Matt served as the Assistant Dean of Marketing Operations and a Marketing Instructor for Abilene Christian University’s College of Business Administration. Before joining the ACU faculty, Matt was the Executive Director of ACU’s Office of Career and Academic Development, overseeing the “Support Our Students” program and career and academic counseling services. At ACU, he expanded the College of Business advising center into a full-service Career Development Center, contributing to ACU COBA’s recent recognition as the highest placement rate among Master’s programs in the nation. Matt received an MBA specializing in Services Marketing and Management from Arizona State University and a BBA from ACU. Matt has been recognized as the “Teacher of the Year” for ACU’s Management Sciences department, SpringBoard entrepreneur, and as an AbileneBiz “Top 20 Under 40” honoree.

Matt is also currently the President of Pharos Resources where he focuses on relational retention across the United States and Canada.

Rachel Elam is a co-founder of PathLIGHT and the Director of Client Services at Pharos Resources. Helping people learn about themselves in practical ways is one of Rachel’s favorite elements of PathLIGHT. In fact, she worked closely with Rachel Phillips-Buck to discover her own talents and skills. Rachel’s prior experience includes working with the Career Center and Business Services at Abilene Christian University, where she engaged students and faculty on a daily basis with exceptional customer service and project management. Rachel received her B.S in Art Education from ACU.

Rachel joined the Pharos team in August 2013 and now works around the clock to ensure every client is meticulously cared for by providing clear implementation of the software and follow-up support. Rachel also manages the Help Center that connects all Pharos users to an active online community for ideas, questions, and feedback.
